Ashland Woman’s Death Ruled Homicide, Investigation Ongoin

An investigation is underway in Ashland after authorities confirmed the death of a local woman has been ruled a homicide.

According to officials, 43-year-old Tammy Morin was found Tuesday morning in the 3400 block of Front Street. City workers reportedly discovered the body around 8 a.m., prompting an immediate response from Ashland Police and emergency personnel.

The Boyd County Coroner later confirmed the case as a homicide, though specific details surrounding the cause of death have not yet been released. Investigators spent much of the day processing the scene and gathering evidence.

Police say the incident appears to be isolated and have indicated there is no immediate threat to the public. However, they are continuing to follow leads and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The case remains active as authorities work to determine what led to the woman’s death and whether any suspects will be identified.
